The south west's first agricultural show of the season
The North Somerset Show is on Bank Holiday Monday 5th May at Wraxall (on the B3130) near Bristol. There is plenty to see and do for all the family at this friendly, local and unique event. The Show opens at 8.30 am and car parking is free.
Tickets are available at the gate priced at adult: £10, senior: £9, child: £4, family: £23. Show catalogue: £2.50. Children under 5 are free. Disabled: full price but essential carer free of charge. Once in the vicinity of the Show, please follow the blue directional road signs. Disabled parking is in the Forward car parks, subject to availability (please have your blue badge clearly on display). Dogs are welcome as long as they are on non-retractable leads.
Always wowing a huge crowd, the tractor pulling competitions will be running throughout the day, from 11.00 am onwards. Or why not bring your terrier to the Show and take part in the terrier racing at 11.00 am and 2.30 pm? For power of a different type watch the heavy horses in the entertainment ring at 10.30 am or the exciting Pony Club games and musical ride. We are pleased to welcome back the Severnside Dog Agility Club who will hold day-long competitions.
The County's top livestock and horse exhibits compete for their awards in the showing rings along with the exacting show jumping classes. Horse classes will start at 9.00 am followed by livestock classes at 9.30 am. The grand parade will be at 3.00 pm in the cattle rings.
Elsewhere there is plenty more on offer - live blacksmith competitions, vintage tractors and farm machinery, have-a-go archery, rural crafts, children's entertainments and the popular Cavy show with over 200 hamsters and ginuea pigs. Shop amongst the trade stands and food hall and buy something tasty to eat from the choice of Somerset's finest locally-produced food.
